We run three laser types — Alexandrite 755 nm, Diode 808 nm and Nd:YAG 1064 nm. YAG is designed for tanned and darker skin, which is why we can treat safely in Bali all year. With a fresh tan we use YAG — it doesn't react to melanin, so it's safe even right after the beach. The skin test before your first session is free, and the laser doesn't change the price: one price per area, whatever your skin tone.

The laser finds hair by its pigment, and by the blood supply feeding the follicle. On light skin the pigment in the hair is the only target in sight. A tan puts pigment into the skin as well — and that is exactly what the Nd:YAG is for.
The Alexandrite laser reacts to pigment and gives maximum efficiency for your combination.
The Diode laser is the reliable all-rounder for your tone and most hair colors.
The YAG laser works without targeting pigment: it closes the capillaries that feed the follicle. Gentle and safe for you.
It doesn't react to melanin, so it's safe even right after the beach.
Dermatologists describe skin tone on the Fitzpatrick scale — six steps, from very fair to deeply pigmented. Each of our three lasers works at its own wavelength, and each one is built for a different part of that scale.
| Laser | Wavelength | Built for |
|---|---|---|
| Alexandrite755 nm | 755 nm | Light skin, dark hairFitzpatrick I–II |
| Diode808 nm | 808 nm | Medium skin tones, most hair colorsFitzpatrick III–IV |
| Nd:YAG1064 nm | 1064 nm | Dark or tanned skinFitzpatrick V–VI, and any tone with a fresh tan |
Which laser you get, and at what power, comes from your skin test rather than from a table. The test takes 15 minutes and it's free: the therapist checks your skin tone and hair and chooses the laser and the power.

We won't treat over it, because it would hurt.
Only one rule is hard; the rest make the session work better.
| 14 days before | Start SPF30+ on any treated area that sees sun | ideally |
|---|---|---|
| First days after | No beach, no sunbathing on treated areas. This is the one rule we won't bend, because sun on freshly treated skin burns faster | strictly |
| First 14 days after | SPF30+ and moisturizer on sun-exposed treated areas | ideally |
Why sunscreen matters more here than at home. Bali sits eight degrees from the equator, and sun exposure here isn't only the beach. The scooter counts: twenty minutes a day puts real sun on your arms and legs — often the very areas you're treating. Sunscreen doesn't last the day: heat, sweat and humidity mean reapplying it, not putting it on once in the morning and forgetting about it. And the days that don't feel like beach days often are — waterfalls, volcano sunrises, boat trips, rice terraces are all full sun for hours.
Diode on one machine, Alexandrite and Nd:YAG on the other — same body, different laser handpieces.
Cold contact on the skin — far less discomfort than waxing. Nearly painless: most clients describe a warm snap.
The most important part of the machine — made by Jenoptik, Germany. Platform: Oriental Laser.
There is one price per area. Which of the three wavelengths the therapist works with — 755, 808 or 1064 nm — is decided at the free skin test, by your skin tone and hair colour, and it doesn't change the price.

A single session already counts: about 10–15 % less hair after each one. Lasting smoothness is a course — usually 8–10 sessions, the first 5 spaced 5–6 weeks apart. After the course roughly 10 % of the hair keeps growing, and new follicles appear over time, so most people come back for a single session every 4–5 months. For some, the hair doesn't come back at all — it depends on your skin, and it's very individual.
Most likely yes. We run three laser types — Alexandrite, Diode and Nd:YAG. YAG is designed for tanned and darker skin, which is why we can treat safely in Bali all year. We confirm the choice with a free patch test before the first treatment.
Yes. YAG works safely on dark and tanned skin because it doesn't target pigment. We confirm the choice with a free skin test.
No — one price per area. Tanned and darker skin is treated with the 1064 nm Nd:YAG; the choice is made at the skin test. Fresh sunburn is the exception: we won't treat over it, because it would hurt.
Skip the beach and sunbathing on treated areas for the first few days — this is the one rule we won't bend, because sun on freshly treated skin burns faster. After that, SPF30+, and reapply it through the day.
Yes. Sun exposure affects when you can have a session, not what you've already achieved.
Send us a message on WhatsApp with your skin tone and whether you've been in the sun — we'll answer within 20 minutes, and the skin test at the studio is free.
